A little sunshine is all you need

The entire Walker family is on vacation in Phoenix for sun, baseball, pool, tennis, and a few moments of downtime.

Plus, with them along, that means babysitters for Roy.

LOST, Rascal Flatts and baseball

A few things today:

1)   The new LOST BLOG is now posted online @ US99.com here … great episode last night, plus I am diggin’ all the VW Buses from the ’70s Dharma Initiative!

2)   Mark your calendars – Tuesday, April 7th, all 3 members of Rascal Flatts will join me in-studio!

They’ll be in Chicago to chat about their new CD “Unstoppable,” which comes out that day.  It[s going to be B I G!

3)   Also, I’m on vacation starting tomorrow … the entire Walker family is headed west for a bit of Sox & Cubs & Cardinals spring training baseball.  Roy still hasn’t decided who he’s rooting for.

I upgraded to IE 8 last week, based on a great article from Eric Benderoff in the Chicago Tribune.

I’ve kept IE 6 in our home office for years, since 7 was nothing but bugs & crashes.

With the new Internet Explorer 8, it’s a breath of fresh air.

Faster surfing, faster page loads, just easier use overall … very similar to the Firefox experience.

What a feeling

It happened last night.

One of our favorite things to do in spring & fall – we slept with the windows open!

However, Roy is still asleep.  It’s 7:50am (!) right now.  Clearly, it’s having an effect on him as well.

A sea of green

We’re getting ready to head downtown for the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day parade.

On Columbus from Balbo to Randolph, it will be a sea of green – 1,000,000 Chicagoans strong.

Tired of the bad news, and what to do about it

Lately, Jill & I have been watching the 10pm news (I like Ron Magers & Kathy Brock on ABC-7) before bedtime.

Last night, I just couldn’t do it … too much doom, too much bad news, too much overload.

Instead, I flipped on Comedy Central to see Jon Stewart.

Curing the economy blues with a double-shot of funny - The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Am I the only one thinking this way?  I’m curious about your escapes.
