Birthday cake like no other

Out of life’s many indulgences, I think birthday cake might be one of the best.

My wife Jill made a special carrot cake last night, and I couldn’t help myself from doing two pieces.

Sometimes, you just have to go for it, right?

The brain capacity of a 17-month-old

My wife Jill & I enjoyed an “overnight date night” on Saturday evening.

We came home Sunday morning to a new revelation.

Grandpa Rich taught Roy how to FIST BUMP.  Yup, not a high-five (that he’s already mastered), but the new version of that.

And it brings Roy such happiness to reciprocate whomever’s hand is in front of his, clenched and waiting for the bump.

This event overshadowed Roy chucking his favorite sippy cup into the toilet upstairs.

I’m thinking you marvel at your kids’ abilities as much as I do?
