Jill & I had an amazing babymoon in Key West … 80s and sunny every day.  Roydon had an equally fun time staying with Grandma & Grandpa, big thanks to Rich & Sue!

It’s the good stuff

Last night, for the first time, I felt the baby move … or, more clearly, she kicked my hand decisively!    What a strange sensation, but very cool.  I think it makes vacation all the better.

Speaking of that, I prepared a special show for The Road this Thursday night … join me at 10pm for 2 hours of live music & conversation with Darius Rucker & Sugarland.

Helloooooo, Pregnant Lady!

I’ve received more than a few emails and texts, asking me who “the pregnant lady” is … the one I keep referring to on the show.

It’s my wife Jill.

She’s due in late January, and we found out recently that it’s a GIRL!

For whatever reason, I’ve started greeting her every day at lunchtime with the overly-romantic phrase, “Hellooooooooo, pregnant lady!”

You’ve done the same?  Something similar?

Where is the time going?

I took Roy to the pediatrician this week, for his 2-year-old check-up.

If you think of all the events from your life in the last two years, what’s the biggest?  The strangest?  The best?  The most unexpected?

Life takes you in directions you’d never imagine, but sometimes, it’s as simple as a cup of milk, some banana bread, and the sound of “Daddy!” from the nursery that makes a morning special.

Even crazier, we’ll be back with the doctor in late January or February, with the arrival of our baby girl!
