At our house, Roy got what is hands-down the silliest, funniest invention of the last few years … even moreso since it didn’t exist when we were kids: a self-inflating whoopee cushion!
Silly, yes! But it SELF-inflates, over and over. Step on it, and proclaim to no one in particular, “What did you EAT?”

We found pumpkins of all sizes and shapes earlier today with our pre-school field trip … have you made the trek yet?
Roy & Vivian had a blast, even though the temperature never got above 45 degrees … we snapped some photos amid all the chaos HERE!
For my kids Roy & Vivian (and to a lesser extent, me & Jill too) … they are always craving mac and cheese.
Turns out it’s actually normal, as your body has a biological need for it! Salt and fat activate the brain’s enjoyment recognition centers.

A company in New York has just announced the debut of their “wireless diapers” (the diaper contains a cellular chip that sends a text message to the parent’s cell phone or email).
Basically, the new technology allows you to stay up-to-date at all times, even if you’re out of the room, or the kids are at daycare / with a babysitter.
Would you use them? Sounds just a LITTLE crazy!!
New research from Cornell University found that kids were more likely to eat vegetables if they had funny names. When served veggies with names like “X-Ray Vision Carrots” and “Silly Dilly Green Beans,” the results were overwhelming!
In one case, 66% of the carrots labeled ”X-Ray Vision Carrots” were eaten versus 32% when they were labeled “Food of the Day.”
