A tough choice to make at work: would you rather have more money, more vacation time, or the ability to fire your boss?
I was surprise to learn 41% of folks chose the firing option!

Our new US 99*5 studios are FINALLY complete … here’s your first look behind the scenes!
Took a quick day off Tuesday, and I return to an e-mail from New Boss Bill that he wants to chat about “expanding” afternoon drive … turns out US99.5 is adding a 3rd member to the show!
Certainly not what I expected, definitely a surprise! All the details today @ 4:10pm.
Another fun note, don’t forget about White Sox COUNTRY NIGHT next Tuesday. Marti Jones & I will broadcast from Gate 3 all afternoon, David Nail is performing on-field, and I get to throw the first pitch.
I had the opportunity to get some practice in the US Cellular Field bullpen – see the magic / video HERE. You can also purchase our special discount, half-price tickets at that link!
Make it a great day, we’ll chat soon.
Today marks the beginning of my afternoon show’s 5th year at US 99.5 … and I owe it all to you.
What a ride over the last four years … concerts, trips, Nashville living room broadcasts, and the ins and outs of all of our families.
Hopefully, you’ll continue to check in when you can, as I promise to keep giving you your favorite songs, great conversation, and big prizes. Plus, you can always catch up via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, IM, texting, or the phone. It’s all about you.
Make it a fantastic day, and we’ll chat soon …
My son Roy is busy dissecting his blueberries from his Cheerios breakfast … that means he’s almost finished. ACK, hold on.
OK, just rescued a few soggy Cheerios from his hair, delicately placed there by him. The boy is a genius.
Big weekend in store, hope you can join me:
Make it a great day, we’ll chat after 3pm.
Glad to be back from vacation, we had a blast in Wisconsin on Lake Beulah with the extended family. If you missed any of our hijinks, follow me on Twitter @radiodrew HERE, and you’ll be connected 24/7.
Tomorrow’s a big day – make plans to join me at Arlington Park between 3-7pm, as I broadcast with Randy Houser. He’s the guy with my favorite song on the radio right now, Boots On, plus the video that is guaranteed to make you smile. Really. Watch the video at my webpage HERE.
Then tomorrow night, I have more Brad Paisley Miller Lite Party Deck passes up for grabs with the FNPP @ CC’s Grove in Willow Springs. We’ll do a pair at 10pm, and again at 11pm. Details HERE.
Next week, it’s your last two chances to get qualified for the trip to the CMAs in November! Coors Light Beer N Bags in Island Lake on Tuesday, then Woodstock on Wednesday. Register between 8-9pm, then 16 teams are randomly-selected to begin play at 9pm. I want to see you there (directions & more details HERE)!
Lastly, my son is the smartest boy ever. Yes, I’m biased, but I think you’ll agree. Is your child even smarter?
Let’s talk about it, today at 3:45pm, on US 99.5 fm and streaming online at US99.com!
Rodney Atkins was our last featured artist in the “8 Shows @ Joe’s” concert series … I had a chance to chat with him before the show, and the All Access video is now posted HERE.
* Who does he like to introduce himself as?
* Whose bus did he used to envy, only to have it become his own?
* What type of crazy window border would you only find on a superstar’s bus, and ONLY from Rodney Atkins?
The answers to these questions, plus highlights from the concert, when you check out All Access Week 97 now, online @ US99.com!
Today, it’s all about Keith Urban.
He’s set to call the show at 4:20pm, so if you’re a KU fan, don’t miss it!
I also have 2 pairs of passes for his intimate, invitation-only Joe’s Bar concert a week from today:
Make it a great day, and we’ll chat after 3pm.
A big welcome to Jeff Goldblatt from Fox Chicago! He anchors the weeknight 9pm newscast with Robin Robinson.
Every afternoon at 6:40pm, he’ll check in with the day’s headlines. If you missed him drop by the studio yesterday, and getting grief for his late arrival, hear our conversation HERE.
Happy GREEN St. Patrick’s Day!
We’re getting ready to head downtown for the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day parade.
On Columbus from Balbo to Randolph, it will be a sea of green – 1,000,000 Chicagoans strong.
Our US 99.5 float is entry # 33 – hope to see you there!
