Baseball & Country Music: Bigger than big, on so many levels

I teased it yesterday on Facebook, and it’s now official.

Rascal Flatts is headlining the 1st EVER country concert at Wrigley Field.

Saturday, July 18th with Darius Rucker & other country friends TBA.

No idea on ticket prices or an on-sale date yet, but be sure to mark the date now.

With Kenny Chesney @ Soldier Field and Flatts @ Wrigley Field, this could be the biggest summer EVER.

I’m already dreaming about the pre- and post-parties … care to join us?

Changing the game

One of the guys in our promotions department just got his 3rd cell phone number in two years.   He changed the last four digits, AGAIN.

Why?

Female stalkers.  Another bad break-up.

I couldn’t stop laughing about it, as it seems a bit extreme (on the surface) to change your number because of that.  Or is it?

He says he’s never had another problem after the number switches.

Have YOU changed your game?  Is it a bit extreme to change your number for JUST a reason like this?

Let’s chat about it, today after 3pm.

Giving you another say, in a BIG way

Again, back to the theme of trying to make your life easier.

This time, it’s by playing only songs you want to hear, songs you like.

We have a brand-new US 99.5 music committee, and we want you to be a part of it.

Sign up HERE, and you can tell us everything you like & dislike about the music we play, the contests, you name it.

Taking this concept a bit farther, I’m curious about the one song you could live with, if you could only hear one song the rest of your life.

A classic?  Something brand-new?  If you could only hear one song the rest of your life, what would it be?

Let’s chat about it, today after 3pm.

Making your life easier, through 287-995

One of the greatest things about texting?  It requires very little work on your part.

Something new I thought might help your busy life — text updates / alerts about station events that you may’ve missed on the radio.

Every Thursday, I host The Road at 10pm.  Two hours of live music & conversation with your favorite stars.  Want to know who’s on the show this week, or the next few programs?

  • Text “THE ROAD” to 287-995, and you’ll never miss your favorite artist again.

Every Friday, I host the Friday Night Party Patrol at 9pm.  A different bar each week with Miller Lite prizes & specials, plus all-request country music!   Want to know when we’ll be in YOUR neighborhood?

  • Text “PARTY PATROL” to 287-995, and I’ll tell you exactly where to find us.

It’s all about making your life easier, and getting the most out of each day.

Make it a great one, and we’ll chat after 3pm.
