They played two hours at a small club called The Block, announcing the show at 4:30p that afternoon on Twitter and watching a line form outside QUICKLY. The setlist had all her hits as well as covers of Summer of 69 from Bryan Adams and Led Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll. Cool stuff.
** Thomas Rhett is trending today as he and his father Rhett Akins raised $40,000 with a concert for their hometown’s Great Strides Valdosta effort in honor of their cousin Sophie, who has been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
Thomas remarked, “When it happens to one of your family members it puts it that much more at the forefront of your mind and makes you want to do anything you can to help out.”
