Week 35: 52 Bags in 52 Weeks

This year, Jill & I have resolved to de-clutter our lives, one week (and one bag) at a time.   You can do the same!

Every week, we tackle something else, with the bags leaving the house through recycling, donations to Goodwill, women & children shelters or the trash …

Week 35 (written by Jill this time):

After buying a bunch of holiday books for the kids, I pulled out the boxes of Christmas decorations to keep them out of the way. In the process, I found a bin full of EMPTY CD jewel cases, from when I first bought one of those CD holder thingies when I was in college (!).

Time to sort CDs.

We bought a couple more CD holder thingies and organized all of our CDs (we were running all around the house looking for CDs in random places). We recycled all the empty jewel cases, which filled our entire recycling bin – we had to bust out our spare bin for our normal weekly recycling.

Someday, I’m sure we’ll get all the CDs loaded onto iTunes and then we can even discard them. Someday.

Next week:   Our final stack of old VHS tapes, converted to digital files and then recycled …
