Soaking It All In: Our Last Day Of Our FunJet Vacations Riviera Maya Getaway!

Our last day in Mexico, and we woke up to the above! With an evening flight, we made the most of our day …
FunJet sent us to the Grand Palladium resort in the Riviera Maya, and between 11 restaurants and 6+ pools, you can find something to do for the entire family!
For our last day, we spent more time at the pool:

We also enjoyed a stroll along the beach and a quick bite to eat in a few places.
One thing we noticed a lot of? Extended families, all vacationing together, from the grandparents all the way down to the babies. FunJet can take care of it all!
I also did my best to channel Kenny Chesney here:

At The Pool: Day 3 Of Our Riviera Maya FunJet Getaway!

One of the best things about staying at an all-inclusive resort? So many choices!
We’ve been staying at the Grand Palladium resort in the Riviera Maya, and it’s like having 4 resorts in 1 … today, we spent time at the “Adults Only” pool (pictured above), after having enjoyed the kids/adults/everyone pool Friday night. Notice that the adults get their own lounge chairs IN the pool? Great cure for staying cool in the heat.
Our favorite drink today? The Banana Mama. Rum, orange, banana, pineapple, coconut & grenadine. Frozen perfection!
Here’s a picture of our breakfast partner this morning:

On The Water: Day 2 Of Our FunJet Riviera Maya Getaway!

Today was pretty spectacular again, thanks to FunJet … lots of activities while the sun was shining!
The all-inclusive resort has just about everything you could imagine. We started off with a full breakfast & champagne, then headed to Maroma Beach, one of the best beaches in the world. White sand, clear turquoise water & lots of sun.
We sailed on a catamaran to enjoy snorkeling among the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the 2nd longest coral reef in the world!

In the afternoon, I rode the Spinnaker swing above (30+ feet high, crazy!) and then jumped the waves on a jetski, with a guided tour along 15 miles of beach. Paradise!
You can be here too, details soon!
This is what vacation should be!

FunJet Vacations sent Jill & me to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico for a quick weekend getaway … and we found THIS waiting for us upon arrival!

Tomorrow, we head to the beach for some sun, snorkeling & waverunner action … details soon on how YOU can be here!
Week 52: 52 Bags In 52 Weeks

Our quest to de-clutter our lives continues, one week (and one bag) at a time. You can do the same!
Week 52 (written by Jill):
The almost 8-year-old diaper pail (a hand-me-down to us), that has truly extended its useful life, is getting pitched today. If I thought I could clean it enough to make it reusable, I would – but the scent of 8 years of poopy diapers just isn’t something that you can get rid of!
Our goal for 2012 – get Vivian potty-trained ASAP! Until that happens, we will just use bread bags, newspaper bags, etc. to gather the diapers for alley trash disposal.

Thanks for following and helping along our journey in 2011. Moving forward, we’re going to make it a continued goal to keep our house & lives de-cluttered. Have you made the same decision in your house?

Our quest to de-clutter our lives continues, one week (and one bag) at a time. You can do the same!
Week 51:
A never-used, still-in-box air purifier was taken by Jill’s mom, to deliver [early] to the farm for the holidays. When we left to come home, it stayed

Last Song Discovery That Blew You Away?

Late Sunday night on a Dairy Queen run for the family, I discovered a new song that blew me away and it got me thinking …
It’s rare to hear something for the first time and be immediately drawn to it. Sunday night, that was “Hell on Heels” from The Pistol Annies. WOW! (and yes, I’m a little late to the game on this one …)

Week 50:
In anticipation of adding a bunch of toys in about 2 weeks, we forced ourselves to part with more toys from the kids’ playroom (basement) to make room.
Jill filled a big Rubbermaid bin with 0-12month toys for her BFF, Kristen, who is having her 2nd baby in the spring … 8 years after her first one.
